People from all walks of life love smiles. They are stress relievers and they make people feel good about themselves. Unfortunately, not all people are generous smile-givers and they are very shy about showing their teeth to just anyone. This doesn’t mean you have to do the same, especially if you intend to be very appealing to people. Having a smile becomes contagious and soon enough, people will find themselves grinning when they see you. More importantly, they will think that you are more appealing than what you objectively are. How is that possible, you ask? Let me explain.
Smiling automatically triggers the brain to feel happy, because smiles are associated with pleasant memories in the past. It is almost an automatic reaction, and nobody can really explain why people smile when they are happy. But more importantly, when they smile, their minds automatically reason out that something good must be happening. If you’re the reason why they’re smiling, their brain may figure out: Oh, this person in front of me must be attractive so I feel good about seeing him/her! As you can see, smiling = good feelings = attraction! The brain is an intelligent thing, but things like these do happen.
Are you insecure about your teeth? The dentist is always there to help you. If you want, buy oral bands to bring wide-gapped teeth closer to each other. It’s relatively less painful than most dental treatments, and the best part is that you do it yourself. However, having imperfect teeth doesn’t really excuse you from flashing a smile or two. Not all people are dentists and they have no business scrutinizing your teeth every time you see them! Spread the sunshine and see how bright you can make people’s day (including yours) become.
